Mobil Oil Corporation appeals from the jury verdict in the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan awarding Stephen S. Johnson, the trustee in bankruptcy for Henrikson Enterprises lost profits in the amount of $350,000.00. Mobil's primary allegation on appeal is that Henriksen failed to adequately establish a basis for the jury's award of future lost profits and, accordingly, the jury's verdict must be set aside. We disagree. Because the case is based upon diversity jurisdiction, we must apply Michigan law to determine whether Henriksen submitted evidence during trial sufficient to support the jury's award of lost profits in the amount of $350,000.00.
